NEXT MASTER CLASS: "What Is The Judge Thinking?"
January 7, 2012 at 1pm-2:30pm
State Theatre, Bay City, MI
Presented by Composer/Pianist/ Adjudicator, Catherine McMichael
This class will give participants insight into some of the ways judges perceive and evaluate performances in a competitive situation. You might be surprised by what judges think unimportant (total accuracy) and more importantly, what they think of as important (musicality) and what that means to you as a competitor. Everyone is encouraged to perform an excerpt of a piece in this class and get a preview of one judge's perceptions of their performance potential.
Those wishing to perform in this class are asked to submit their name in advance, so everyone who wants to participate has enough time.
